Personally I don’t think its ever too early to start getting into the holiday spirit. My husband would disagree but he knows when to pick his battles. So yes, the tree is up and I have started my holiday shopping. I love to get an early start on my shopping; in fact, my goal is to finish up by Dec 1. This way I can avoid the December shopping madness. I don’t do well with crowds and line-ups, especially with two kids in tow. I can’t say I am always successful in meeting that goal and I am very thankful for amazon prime but nonetheless I am usually in full swing gift buying mode come November.
So here is some holiday gifting inspiration for those of you looking to get a head start.
This first Holiday post covers gift ideas for the Homebody. That gal who loves her nights in and I am definitely one of those gals. There is nothing I love more than a night in, cozied up on the couch with my favourite wine under a warm blanket – my kind of Saturday night.
These gifts work on their own or they would be great put together as a themed gift basket. Click any image to buy.
1.READING SOCKS
I live in these. I wear them around the house all the time. This pom pom pair is on my wish list list this year. And last Christmas I was gifted the sherpa lined pair featured in the pic above. I loved them so much that I went back after boxing day and picked up two more pairs. They were like 50% off during boxing week.

2. WINE
A staple for winter nights in – a full bodied California Cab. Here are a couple of my favourites.

3. BEAUTY SAMPLERS
These are such a great way to try out more luxe products before you buy them.
This mask sampler by Peter Thomas Roth is also on my wish list. In fact this was on last year’s wish list but it sold out early so I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. My husband clearly didn’t get the memo about starting his shopping early last year. I guess I will continue to drop some more not so subtle hints. Fingers crossed I find these in my stocking.

The mascara sampler from Shoppers is my all time favourite buy during the holidays. I usually just buy it for myself early November because it sells out fast. And for $42 it’s great value – not only are there 7 mini mascaras to try BUT there is also a coupon to get your favourite from the sampler pack in a full size.

This sampler from Sephora is less than $50 and includes 7 of their top selling highlighters. Who doesn’t need a little more glow.

4. COZY THROW
A cozy throw is an essential for a night in. There are so many great options right now. I love the thick knit options but they can be so expensive so these sweater knit ones are a great alternative. These are from Bed Bath & Beyond but I have also seen some cute ones at HomeSense. The throw in my living room pic above also came from HomeSense.

I love this Pottery Barn Buffalo Check option as well. AND 50% of the proceeds of each purchase are donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, helping to support research and treatment for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

5. TREATS
A night in isn’t complete without your favourite treat. I am loving these barkTHINS at the moment. And chocolate pretzels are always a hit. I found these great gluten free ones. Perfect stocking stuffers.
Happy Shopping
